London, England

How I miss you!

Ok so ... I don't so much miss London as much as I miss my friends.

On Oct. 7 2006 I left on a plane to London, England for the next two weeks to visit my friends. Over all I had a great time, it can even be described as an amazing time.

The night before leaving for London, I was sitting here thinking what am I getting myself into, how can I get myself out of this. Looking back now I'm so glad I didn't change my mind.

The first couple of days I wasn't sure what to think of London and was dying to come home. As the week went on I was pretty happy that I made the decision to come. London is a beautiful city. I enjoyed every moment. Seeing all the old building with all the details on the outside of them.

Being able to go into Kensington Palace and getting a look at the home of Princess Diana and where several other royal family members live was really cool.
Seeing some of Diana's dresses was super cool cuz seeing them in front of me would
remind of seeing them on t.v. or in magazines.
Not to mention some never seen pictures taken of her by Mario Testino.
She was so pretty!

Buckingham Palace is in person larger then life. I would have loved to be able to go inside. When I say that, I mean go inside the palace anywhere I wanted to. That would have been fun!

We ended up going to the V&A (Victoria and Albert Museum) and wasn't to sure about going there. To my surprise I really enjoyed myself there. Not to mention that Red Cat and I had a blast together. Taking some really funny pictures of each other. I never thought that I would like to see art. What I enjoyed most of all was seeing all the sculpture. I have never thought of sculptures as art, to me I have always thought of art as a painting but as Red Cat mentioned, sculptures are pieces of art as well, as she's saying this to me, she's giving me a funny looking face like I'm crazy or something.
Sorry, I just never thought of sculptures as art, kill me! ha ha

We also visited ...
Tower of London

National Gallery

Trafalgar Square

Millennium Bridge

Modern Tate

London Eye

Harrods (more then once!)

Parliament

Big Ben

That's all I can think of right now!

Tea at The Ritz
Tea is a big thing in England. Red Cat and HoneyD treated me to a afternoon at The Ritz where we enjoyed tea like the rich would. I felt like I was in a fairytale. The whole time we sat there looking at each other and around to see what everyone else was doing and how they were acting so that we didn't look like the odd ones out. To my surprise we fit in really well. We all did a really good job at not looking like fools, good work ladies! Out side as we were taking pictures of The Ritz some man stopped and asked us what we were taking pictures of, is there's a famous star at The Ritz? we looked at him and laughed and said no but I really wanted to say ... yes me, don't you know who I am, I just had tea at The Ritz, I'm famous now! ha ha
(I wish I was!)

Weekend at the Oxford University
A friend of a friend of a friend, ha ha not really! Our friend Supa studies at the Oxford University. Supa had put together a "bop" (party) at the university were it was opened to anyone who wanted to come. At the beginning of the night I felt out of place but as the night went on it got better with the help of some great friends and my favorite friend of the night Stella (the beer) ha ha It was great we had our own little party in one of the corners of the room. Laughing, dancing, taking pictures, and lets not forget drinking. We all did good that night no one got sick or went home sick! It ended up being a really great night, all you really need is to have a really great group of friends to have fun anywhere and that I have! As I mentioned the night got better, better, and BETTER! ha ha It will be a night that I wont forget for some time and I don't think someone people will let me forget it! If only the walls could talk! ha ha

My second week there went by really fast and that was kind of sad. Another thing that went really fast in London was my money. Spending money there was like taking the London tube it went really, really fast. Before you knew it, you had no more money and had no idea how you spent it. That sucks!

I worst part of my trip to London was ... leaving my friends, I hate good byes. What's so GOOD about good byes anyways? I'll tell you ... NOTHING!

What I'm looking forward to now is their return to CANADA, I can't wait!

Thank you Red Cat, HoneyD, and Supa for all you guys did for me for all the fun, laughs and memories that I will always remember. It feels good inside to know that you have really GREAT friends in our life. Knowing that no matter where you are with them, you will always be guaranteed an excellent time!

Love you all and miss you very much!

OH NO!

As I have mentioned before my good friends have left me (ha ha) and gone to London, England and seem to be having a blast. So much fun that sometimes I think they will never want to come back.

My next big plans are to go to England and visit with them for two weeks. I can't wait! I'm not going to lie to you I'm as exited as I am nervous. I never show up anywhereby myself let alone travel by myself. I've already tried to get some people to come with me but that didn't work. That's ok ... I'm a big girl and I'm going to do it, I'm going to do it on my own. It's a good thing that they speak ENGLISH there! ha ha

Anyways, I can't wait it looks so nice there. There's so many interesting things to see and do, but the most important part of this trip will be that I'll be with my friends and that's all that matter. No matter what we do or where we are we always have a blast together. It's great, I love it!

One week later ....

That was how I had started this posting like a week ago now the news is that I'm going to ENGLAND!! I got my tickets and there's no turning back now. In about two weeks I will be once again with my friends who I miss very much and can't wait to see.

There are so many things to do before I go and I haven't started anything yet.

I'm still scared and very nervous, I'm making it sound worse then it probably is, I just can't help it. I have never done something like this in my life. I have asked my parents like 10 times if they would like to come with me so that I wouldn't have to be alone, but they said no.

Ok, ok, I'm going to stop crying over this now, but I wont promise you anything ha ha

ENGLAND HERE I COME, WATCH OUT!!

Summer is gone!

It's me!!

Yes I'm still alive! I know I haven't been writing but I just haven't had the time to do so. I'm SORRY! Well, nothing much has happened, since the last time I wrote.

Let's see ...
my portugal team lost the world cup. Over all we did a good job. It just wants meant to be this time. I still have a couple of friends that wont to this day let me forget that we didn't win. I also lost a bet and had to pay up, meaning I had to buy drinks all night long. That's ok cuz next time they will be buying me drinks all night long. ha ha (I hope!)

It's that time of year that I find really sad. Everyone's back to school, it's cooler outside. It's a sign that the summer is over and that the cold, long, winter days are coming.

My summer started off a bit sad, only cuz I was friendless. My two closest friends left me and took off to England, they were a very big and important part of my life. We did everything together,we went everywhere together and here I was all by myself not knowing what to do with myself. It was kind of like breaking up with a boyfriend that you've had for years. You get involved with someone and it's all about you and him, doing things together, going places together THEN when you break up with him you forget who you were or what you did before you met him. You have to start all over again by yourself. The only difference from a boyfriend and your closest friends are that my friends have been my friends for a very, very, VERY long time. So I have no idea what life is or was like without them cuz they have always been there for me. But I guess that's what life is all about once you get older. Things change, people change.

Anyways, I still made it through the summer. I probably (ok who we kidding, I didn't) didn't do as much as I would have if my friends were here with me, but I still had fun. My summer was mainly made up of going to the bars, going to pool parties or sitting in someone's backyard talking. One thing that wasn't so different from hanging out with my good friends was that no matter where I was, who I was with or what I was doing there always seemed to be a beer or two in my hand. ha ha I have to say I have gotten a lot closer with someone people this summer which is really nice. I've done things with these people that I thought I would have never done.

Don't get me wrong it's still not the same without my friends.

Ale, Ale, Ale

Ok, as much as I love my Portugal team I have to say they haven't been playing their best yet. There games have been good but not great.I can't stand to see that there's no back up, no one around it seems to help when help is needed. To me it seems as if it's and individual game not a team game for them.

That last game just killed me to watch. There was just no end to it. The Iran's where all over Portugal. There was more time spend not playing the game cuz of someone punching, kicking, grabbing,or knocking someone down then there was playing the game.

Even after seeing all that it was nice to see Portugal come out of it with a 2 nothing game, a magnificent strike from Deco and Cristiano Ronaldo's (#17) penalty kick.

I really do believe that we have a great team, a strong team but they could do a lot better and will need to if they want to stay in the game.

Tiago (#19) he's making me hot, if you know what I mean. ha ha

VIVA PORTUGAL !!!!
